2006-08 Phase II Activities
NorthWay will bring housing organizations to the table and add our ability to mobilize and sustain broader collaboration to their expertise. NorthWay can aid the process by bringing in policy experts and innovators from other communities, including those who are successful at increasing the engagement of low-income residents. We expect participants in our public policy training workshops to be part of the housing discussions.
The NorthWay Board has identified one primary objective for 2006-08:
• To increase home ownership and decrease foreclosures for low income people.
Lower priority activities include:
• To provide quality affordable rental to those who currently live in North Minneapolis.
• To identify and advocate for policies that increase home ownership opportunities for low income residents.
