NorthWay seeks to build new interpersonal connections among residents with a focus on dismantling racism an
2006-08 Phase II Activities
NorthWay will take many routes to build connections and capacity in North Minneapolis. It will be important for the people who stand to gain the most from this effort to be involved, so many of our efforts will focus on low-income people earning below $20,000.
To meet this goal, the NorthWay Board has identified 3 high priority activities for 2006-08:
• To conduct community participation and leadership skills training for low-income residents.
• To create a Youth Advisory Board to give Northside youth a voice in what happens in their community.
• To build community pride and identity through the Northside Marketing Task Force.

Record the number of residents, youth and organizations involved in NorthWay activities. |

Measure the increase of competency for participation among Northside residents by monitoring the number of low-income residents trained through NorthWay sponsored activities. |

Measure the public perception and satisfaction of NorthWay’s leadership. |
Youth Connection |
Survey youth and others in the community regarding how much and how well they think that Northside youth are involved in the community. |
Low-income Connection |
Survey residents regarding how much and how well they feel that low-income Northside residents are involved in the community. |
